America’s Next Top Model Cycle 5
The cycle 5 of America’s Next Top Model which was premièred on 21st September, 2005 witnessed a change of the jury. The famous super model of the 1960’s, Twiggy replaced Janice Dickinson and the runway coach J. Alexander stepped in place of Nolé Marin. The promotional catch phrase of this cycle was “Bling It On”. The season ended on 7th December, 2005.
London, United Kingdom was the chosen international location for this cycle. The prizes meant for the winner included a contract for representation with Ford Models, a magazine cover page for Elle Girl, a U.S. $100,000 contract for the cosmetics brand CoverGirl and a fashion spread in the magazine, Elle. The house in which the contestants lived was later featured in the VH1 show Rock of Love with Bret Michaels’s first season. The total number of contestants was scaled down from fourteen to thirteen, which remained static up till cycle ten.
The prize was taken home by Nicole Linkletter, the nineteen year old model from Grand Forks, North Dakota and twenty - one year old Erika “Nik” Pace, from Atlanta, Georgia was declared the runner up.
