America’s Next Top Model Cycle 7
The Cycle 7 of America’s Next Top Model premiered on 20th September, 2006 with the promotional tag - line “Sassier, Fiercer & Making History”. The cycle ended on 6th December, 2006.
This season holds a record of a whooping 5.13 million viewer ship as an average of each episode thus making it the most watched cycle of the show ever. The judges’ panel included Twiggy, Tyra Banks, Nigel Barker and J. Alexander.
This cycle also marked a change of opening style of the episodes from the previous two cycles. Barcelona in Spain was the chosen International location for this cycle. The prize goodies included a photo shoot for the cover and a six page spread within the magazine, Seventeen, representation by Elite Model Management and a U.S. $ 100,000 contract with the CoverGirl cosmetics.
The title of the America’s Next Top Model cycle Seven went to CariDee English, twenty one year old model from Fargo, North Dakota. English is the first natural blonde ever to win this title.
The runner up to the title was twenty three year old Melissa Rose “Melrose” Bickerstaff, from San Francisco, California. The complete list of contestants in the order of their elimination can be found here.
