America’s Next Top Model Cycle 10
The tenth Cycle of America’s Next Top Model was hyped with the catchphrase “New Faces, New Attitude, New York”. The international destination for this cycle was Rome, Italy and the prizes were the usual: a cover and a six page spread for the magazine ‘Seventeen’, a contract worth $100,000 with CoverGirl cosmetics, the Elite Model Management’s representation and a billboard in Times Square featuring the winner’s CoverGirl ad.
An important change this season was shifting the show back to New York from Los Angeles where it was being canned since Cycle Four. There had been slight alteration in the former judges’ panel comprising of Tyra Banks, Nigel Barker, and Twiggy, with Czech supermodel Paulina Porizkova replacing Twiggy due to some date troubles. The number of contestants was also increased to fourteen, though the number had been thirteen ever since Cycle no. five.
While Anya Kop was declared as the runner up, 20 year old Whitney Thompson from Atlantic Beach bagged the title of ‘America’s Next Top Model.’
